About Us

The Red-Orange Glow is a resurrection of a previous website entitled, The Red-Orange Glow of the Television. It's focus is story writing in a periodical form; which is to say, unlike a book which is divided into Chapters that may be from 2000 to 7000 words long, the typical blog post is around 500-3000 words. That usually makes the story go faster, as the author wants to fit more story into each individual post, but in other cases where each post is handled as a chapter, it can make the story go "slower".

There are currently three authors, who have contributed varying amounts of work.

Douglas Strong

Douglas is the website creator. It's also me. I wrote a story centered around a guy named Jack Carentan. It begins here, and each page has a link to the next post in the story. I am also writing a new story, called A Tepid Crossing, starting here. The short story I've written that I like the most is called Quitters!!

A more comprehensive list of the entires I've made can be found here.

Skyhawk

Skyhawk was the first author to join The Red-Orange Glow. His primary style is most easily titled Military Science Fiction. A few examples would be his Max Urban story, and his Matthew Harrison story.

A more comprehensive list of entries Skyhawk has made can be found here.

TheBlogTypo

TheBlogTypo requested a place to write, and was granted it. He has written more poems than any other member, and has some very interesting story ideas that he's working with. A few examples of his posts would be the poems War and The Flare of Love.

Conquistador

Conquistador is an observer, and a friend of the blog. He has yet to make any posts, but he is a valued member of the team.
